The performance of the cryptocurrencies was mixed during trading today as Ripple received support from the decline in US equity markets, which prompted investors towards crypto assets, but later trimmed their gains.
Cryptocurrencies are trying to recover from recent sharp losses on concerns about the Libra currency that Facebook plans to launch next year.
Libra raised concerns about its possible use in money laundering, drug trafficking, terrorist financing and other illegal activities, although Facebook officials denied it.
In terms of trade, by 20:47 GMT, Ripple fell by 0.7% to $0.31, the highest at $0.32 and the lowest at $0.31.
Bitcoin rose 2% to $9872, the highest at $10193.5 and the lowest at $9662.5 with a market capitalization of $176.04 billion.
