Most US stock indices rose on Wednesday ahead of new important US data on growth and personal spending.
Markets await US GDP growth data tomorrow for the fourth quarter of 2024, expected to clock in at 3.2%.
Investors also look forward to personal spending data, the Fed’s favorite inflation gauge, on Friday, expected to show a 0.3% increase.
On trading, Dow Jones rose 0.6%, or 220 points to 39,502, while S&P 500 rose 0.2%, or 12 points to 5216, as NASDAQ shed 0.1%, or 20 points to 16,295.
